Bed Slingers with large beds.

There are a few large format bed slingers (where the bed moved in one or more directions) that we get frequent requests for. At this time we have determined it just is not sensible to make a bed for these printers. Anything over 300mm X 300mm gets heavy quickly additionally anything over 300mm we like to make in 5/16" (8mm) or 3/8" ( 10mm) cast plate for flatness, rigidity and stability over time. A 500mm X 500mm slab of 3/8 cast aluminum is around 14.7lbs.
